Fishtine Constant

Fishtine Constant
Definition:Empirical constant KF for prediction of the enthalpy of vaporization ΔHb at the boiling point according to the following law: ΔHb = KF Tb R (36.64 + ln Tb), where R = gas constant and Tb = boiling point in Kelvin. The Fishtine constant includes effects such as van-der-Waals, dipole-dipole and hydrogen bonding interactions.
Units:dimensionless
Symbol:KF
