Transverse Relaxation Time (NMR Spectroscopy)

Transverse Relaxation Time (NMR Spectroscopy)
Definition:Time needed until the perturbed spin system has reached its equilibrium spin state. Transversal relaxation is defined by interaction of the spins with each other. The transversal relaxation time is a measure of how fast the perpendicular magnetization Mx and My vanishes.
Units:s
Symbol:T2
Synonyms:Spin-Spin Relaxation Time
Translation: DETransversale Relaxationszeit (NMR-Spektroskopie)
FRTemps de relaxation transversale (spectroscopie RMN)
