Loschmidt Constant

Loschmidt Constant
Definition:The number density of particles (atoms or molecules) of an ideal gas at standard temperature and pressure (T = 273.15 K, p = 101.325 kPa). The Loschmidt constant n0 relates to the Avogadro constant NA as follows: n0 = NA kBT/p = NA/Vm, with kB = Boltzmann constant, Vm molar volume of an ideal gas at standard temperature and standard pressure.
n0 = 2.6867773(47) x 1025 m-3
Units:m-3
Symbol:n0
Scope note:Present value: 2006 CODATA recommended values
Translation: DELoschmidtsche Konstante
